Over the course of my second year at UMD, I collaborated with KidsTeam at the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. KidsTeam is an intergenerational design team that involves children in the design process. Over the course of my time at KidsTeam, I was not only aided multiple participatory design session but also led a few sessions. I led a work-in-progress paper that focuses on the impact that social and cultural upbringing has on a child's participation in the co-design process. This paper went on to be accepted as part of the Interaction Design and Children (IDC 2023) conference. The paper can be found at - Co-Design Across Cultures: A Two Country Study With Children Additionally, as part of my summer 2022 internship, I worked with Dr. Daniel Leithinger at the University of Colorado - Boulder’s ATLAS Institute and collaborated with a team of researchers across CU Boulder, Pratt Institute, University of Washington and the University of Michigan to work with the KidsTeam at UW. As one of the few Master's students involved in the project, I helped to conduct data collection, analysis, and writing on what went on to be accepted at IDC 2023 as a full paper publication. The paper can be found at - Designing Together, Miles Apart: A Longitudinal Tabletop Telepresence Adventure in Online Co-Design with Children
